Happy New Years! (and Future Plans)

Happy holidays to all of our supporters!

This update is to let you know what we did in the previous year, and what we hope to accomplish in the coming year.

In 2019, we delivered The Sassoon Files – a campaign book for Call of Cthulhu and Trail of Cthulhu set in 1930s Shanghai. Furthermore, we successfully ran a Kickstarter and delivered Rational Magic – a campaign for 5e and The Lore System, set in a fantastical dystopian fantasy world.

For The Sassoon Files backers, we recently updated the Brother of Jesus. You should have received the DTRPG message recently. For Rational Magic backers, if you didn’t receive your PDF or book copy, please let me know, we’ll rectify that situation as soon as possible!

Looking forward, we have a lot of things to do.

We will launch “The Camlann Chronicles” Kickstarter in February of 2020. The Camlann Chronicles are a Welsh Arthurian fantasy adventure for 5e and for a d100 RPG (“Lore 100”) we are developing. Players are knights and advisors who will help their noble king and their allied Fey of Avalon against the uncivilized northerners and their dark Sellie benefactors. Primary writing is complete and we have commissioned some initial art from Sassoon Files collaborator Jennifer S. Lange and new artist Thuận Nguyễn:

In June, we will launch a Kickstarter to fund the publication of Project Chicory (working title), a campaign book for Call of Cthulhu and Trail of Cthulhu set in 1924 – 1954 Vietnam. Primary writing is underway. We have recently commissioned monster artist Vincent Van Hoof (http://www.artofvincentvanhoof.com/) We will be working with an international team on this project, including Vietnamese and French play-testers, writers, and historical consultants.

By next Fall, we will revisit our publication schedule. Currently in the works are:

  • Rational Magic Campaign 2 for 5e and the Lore System, wherein will add 3 new scenarios to the campaign, as well as a revamped Powers Game for your table to develop a living and dynamic campaign word for the Operatives.

  • “Texas Campfire Stories” (working title) for Call of Cthulhu and Lore 100. Texas Campfire Stories will include 4 linked scenarios set in Texas from 1850 to 1946. Beta versions of the scenarios are complete and are going into playtesting starting this New Year’s evening.

  • “The Camlann Chronicles, Season 2” for 5e and Lore 100, which will focus on the war for liberation of the Sellie from the tyranny of the Fey. Primary scenario development is at 50% and has started play-testing.

Once again, to our Backers, supporters, and friends, thank you for your support. Have a great New Years!
